Pippa our 12-year-old black lab developed a serious limp in her left paw. Lots of pain killers and anti-inflammatory meds and still no real improvement. The vet noticed that her shoulder muscle was wasting away due to lack of use and Pippa looked depressed. X-ray showed mild arthritis but no explanation for the limp. We were faced with an MRI scan that could cost £5,000 and no guarantee of finding the cause. In December 22 Pippa looked so sad I thought she had given up and we were going to lose her. I asked Wendy to see if she could do anything and we set up weekly sessions. At first Pippa was a bit reluctant but Wendy persevered, and Pip started to enjoy them. We immediately noticed a change in her behaviour, she started to look less sad and amazingly her limp started to improve. Fast forward 3 months the limp has gone, and the vet says her shoulder muscle has started to grow back and is no longer wasting away. We are reducing her pain medication and she is a happy lively dog again. I am setting up monthly visits because Pippa really enjoys them. Make of this what you will, sounds too good to be true but we are delighted and under no illusions that whatever Wendy did has worked magic. Thank you, Wendy. During the treatment I was fascinated to see that Rosie turned her body around so Wendy was able to work on different areas. Rosie was very excited to see Wendy for her further treatments, and each time she responded well to the treatment allowing Wendy to help her relax and settle quicker each time. Rosie is more responsive to us to calm her down when she barks now and when we take her in the car, she seems to be less ‘on edge’ – previously she would never settle down, but sit up and be alert, no matter how far we went.
